December 5rd, 2012
December 3rd we had another great show at the Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff! What a beautiful venue, the singers love to perform there and the audiences are great. Thanks to all who attended our CD release party after the concert!

We are so excited to have our first CD in hand, all recording and production completed! What a great feeling! Thanks to all who assisted, and especially to Paris and the singers for their beautiful music. The CD is available for download on itunes, or you can order it from CDbaby.com. In Denton it's available at Pender's Music, and of course we'll have it available for purchase at all of our concerts!

April, 2012
This was a banner year, not only with our first performance with a symphony, but also our debut at the Sammons Jazz Series at Sammons Center for the Arts. Thank you, Arlington Jones and the staff at Sammons, for this wonderful opportunity!


February 2012
On the evening of Saturday 2/11/12, we performed with the Richardson Symphony Orchestra, at the Eisemann Center in Richardson. This performance was under the baton of Clay Couturiaux, and was a landmark event in every way! We enjoyed performing for the great audience in Richardson and received many wonderful comments.

Then on April 4th we had a fantastic show, kicking off Dallas Jazz Month for Sammons Jazz at the Sammons Center for the Arts. Followed by two sessions in the recording studio, we are excited to be wrapping up our third season, and looking forward to a productive summer of rehearsals for Fall 2012 shows!

Past performances:

Our December concert (Monday 12/5/11) was performed at the wonderful Kessler Theater in the Oak Cliff Arts District of Dallas. This concert was amazing and the audience was as well!! To see and hear two of our numbers from this performance, become a fan of The New Collection on Facebook. This will become an annual event now.

October 3rd, 2011 we performed at the Plano Courtyard Theater (Plano, Texas). We enjoyed a great ensemble performance, a wonderful audience, and the beauty of the venue itself. Student ensembles from several area schools attended the concert, a significant plus for The New Collection, since we are in the business not only of making great music, but of reaching out to the educational community.

In January 2011 we were privileged to perform for the annual conference of the Jazz Education Network in New Orleans. That was another landmark for us - in addition to performing for such a crowd, there were three solid days of high-level jazz performances, clinics, and more.
